Hardly any other selection procedure has experienced such a boom in recent years as the assessment center and enjoys such great popularity for important personnel decisions.

Assessment comes from the English language and means "appraisal" or "evaluation". An assessment center (AC) appointment is therefore a procedure in the application process that challenges applicants to use their strengths and weaknesses to their advantage by means of differently structured test scenarios such as personality tests or role-playing games, among other things, in order to test them with regard to their suitability for the position in question.

Large companies in particular often use this method for personnel selection and development. But why actually? After all, assessments are time-consuming, costly and time-consuming.

The answer: Wrong personnel decisions result in high follow-up costs. Therefore, it is understandable that an employer wants to get a comprehensive impression of his candidates in an assessment center and / or personal interview, because: the higher the position, the greater the risk of a wrong decision.

In the assessment center you have to prove your qualities in various tests. For example, you may be given a given topic and have to present a solution in 10-15 minutes.
