As business engineers/analysts, IT graduates work with IT and the business to make business processes (marketing, sales, production, HR, etc.) and business models more efficient using the modern possibilities of digitalization.
In doing so, they analyze the needs of the departments and the customers and then design proposed solutions for the desired improvement or renewal of the processes and the IT systems. When designing the proposals, business informatics graduates HF ensure that added value is created for the customers or the employees in the departments. The dipl. Wirtschaftsinformatiker/innen HF have a broad knowledge of current trends and modern technical possibilities such as cloud computing, big data, etc. and use this knowledge specifically in the development of new digital solutions and business models.
As project managers, business informatics graduates implement the solution proposal developed, working closely with the customer, the business unit and IT, and are decisively responsible for the success of the project.

Admission to the dipl. Wirtschaftsinformatiker/in HF is open to those who possess
and at least one year of professional experience in the field of business informatics.
In addition, admission is granted to those who have
and at least three years of professional experience in the field of business informatics.
Admission can also be made "sur dossier" on the basis of the curriculum vitae and a personal interview.
During the course of study, professional activity (at least 50%) in the field of business information systems is also required.
