You can choose between the study concentrations Software Engineering, Frontend Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Engineering and Machine Intelligence or Network and Cloud Infrastructure . Or you can study in the "Generalist" curriculum and train to become an all-round specialist.
At OST, you will receive a comprehensive education that qualifies you for a career. We teach you basic information technology topics: Operating systems, computer networks, object-oriented programming, automation with Python, database systems, algorithms and data structures, web engineering, cybersecurity.
In the postgraduate program, you have a choice of around forty modules, from "Advanced Distributed Systems & Blockchain" to "Web Engineering". In team projects, programming and software assignments, you will gain project experience and real industry practice. For your bachelor thesis, you will have the opportunity to work directly with a company.
Context modules in natural sciences, society, economics, law and communication round out your knowledge for your future career.
Prerequisite for admission to the study program is one of the following degrees
in combination with a study-related apprenticeship or a study-related one-year work experience (e.g. internship).
For career changers and people with little previous knowledge of computer science, we recommend attending our preliminary course and starting part-time in order to have more time available for self-study in the first year. The change to full-time studies is possible at any time.
