The marketing manager of a company is responsible for marketing and sales. The development of the marketing strategy of the enterprise (or parts of it) is in the center of the tasks. For the implementation of the chosen strategy, he/she controls and coordinates executing company areas such as sales, marketing communication, logistics and product development.
To be admitted to this higher professional examination, one of the following criteria must be met:
(a) hold a certificate of proficiency in a profession with at least three years of basic vocational training, a diploma from a commercial high school recognized by OPET, or a baccalaureate certificate, and be able to demonstrate at least six years of practice in marketing, including three years in a management position in marketing.
or
b) They hold a federal certificate of proficiency in the field of industry-specific professional examinations (marketing specialist with federal certificate of proficiency, sales specialist with federal certificate of proficiency or communications planner with federal certificate of proficiency), the diploma of a higher professional examination, the diploma of a higher technical college, a university of applied sciences or a university of applied sciences and can provide evidence of at least three years of practice in a management function in marketing. OPET decides on the equivalence of foreign certificates and diplomas.
