Description
Innovative textile and process engineering, technical and functional textiles and in-depth understanding of processes: The Textile Design & Technology program demands creativity and a spirit of research. Practice-oriented work is in the foreground.
With a sound knowledge of product development, production and marketing, graduates assume specialist and management positions in the textile machinery industry, in production companies in the textile industry or in testing and research institutes.
Requirements
- a completed apprenticeship (Federal Certificate of Proficiency EFZ), according to relevant professions or
- an apprenticeship outside the industry or an equivalent qualification (e.g. Matura, Berufsmatura or Fachmittelschule) with internship or work experience.
Professional activity in the textile industry of at least 50% during the course of study is a prerequisite for federal recognition. Depending on previous education, online introductory modules in the topics of textile knowledge, fashion product knowledge, accounting and business administration/law must be completed before the start of the course.
