HR professionals specializing in operational HR management work in private companies or in organizations under public law. Depending on the size of the company, they work as generalists or as specialists. Their specific field of work differs accordingly. In small and medium-sized companies, HR specialists are often responsible for all HR matters, while in larger organizations they take on partial functions. Increasingly, HR work is also shaped by international networking and cross-border business activities. HR professionals have a good understanding of business administration. They have solid operational knowledge and are familiar with the specific business model of the industry in which they work. HR professionals make important contributions to the achievement of the company's strategic and operational goals, taking into account careful resource management. Through their HR work, they contribute to the value creation and performance of their company, or organizational unit.
Good written and spoken German (level B2). In addition, the following requirements must be met in order to complete the course and the federal professional examinations for HR specialists: Professional experience of at least 4 years after having passed the certificate of proficiency (EFZ) of a vocational apprenticeship or baccalaureate, including more than 2 years of qualified HR practice with a workload of 100%*. The necessary professional experience must be proven at the time of the federal professional examination. In addition, proof of successful completion of the certificate examination as a personnel administrator or personnel assistant must be presented.
