Retail trade specialist with federal certificate of proficiency

Admission to the final examination is granted to those who:

• Holds a degree in retail trade or at least an equivalent qualification and can demonstrate at least three years of professional experience in the retail trade after passing the final apprenticeship examination.
• Holds a federal certificate of proficiency or at least an equivalent certificate and has at least four years of professional experience in the retail trade since acquiring it.
• Holds a federal vocational certificate as a retail assistant and can demonstrate at least five years of professional experience in the retail trade after completing basic training.
• Can demonstrate at least ten years of professional experience in the retail trade. and :
• Has worked in a management function in the retail trade for at least one year and has the required module qualifications or confirmations of equivalence.

Note: Professionals who do not (yet) meet the above requirement criteria are also admitted to further training. They can take the module examinations. The module qualifications passed remain valid for 5 years.
