Develop into a specialist for work preparation, the assembly process and the commissioning of large and complex ventilation systems. In the ibW further training to become a chief ventilation fitter with a federal certificate of proficiency, you will be specifically prepared for the federal professional examination.
Chief ventilation fitters are specialists in the preparation, installation and commissioning of large and complex ventilation systems (e.g. in shopping centers, office and industrial buildings, etc.). They implement construction projects in accordance with legal, normative and contractual requirements (e.g. labor law, EKAS, SWKI guidelines, SIA standards, etc.). You organize the assembly infrastructure in the workshop and on the construction site. Careful and environmentally friendly use of resources is a matter of course for them.
Chief ventilation fitters are responsible for both the technical and personnel management of the assembly staff. They also supervise and train apprentices in the industry. They are also responsible for the further training of the installation personnel.
Chief ventilation fitters provide their services in a network with various stakeholders such as clients, construction managers, architects, tradesmen, subcontractors and suppliers. They also have basic knowledge of other trades such as heating, sanitary, electrical and refrigeration and thus ensure smooth coordination on the construction site.

The following professions in particular are designated as technical/craft professions: Heating installer, plumbing installer, plumber, building services planner for heating, ventilation or plumbing, electrical installer, apparatus and plant engineer, locksmith, metalworker, polybuilder.
Interested parties who do not have an EFZ as a ventilation system fitter but have an EFZ in a technical/craft occupation or have a foreign vocational qualification are requested to clarify admission with the QS Commission before registering for the course (www.suissetec.ch).
