Heads of Human Resources work as HR officers at the upper management level of a medium-sized company and from the middle management level of a large company (HR officers for subdivisions). They develop the HR strategy in coordination with the overall strategy of the company or support this process and formulate the HR policy and its sub-policies. They work in private companies and in public administrations.
In principle, the federal examination is open to
who possesses the following qualifications
a) the professional certificate of the professional examination for HR specialists
b) a degree from a university, university of applied sciences or university of applied sciences.
The Examination Commission decides on the equivalence of other qualifications.
The prerequisite for admission to the examination is six years of professional experience, of which four years must be qualified HR experience. Qualified HR practice is understood to be a comprehensive HR generalist function with overall HR responsibility in a medium-sized company or complex sub-area responsibility in a larger company.
