Then the Master's in Special Education is a suitable degree for you. It opens the door for you to the diverse professional worlds of special education. The program qualifies you to support people of different ages and in different life situations in their learning and development processes and to think and act in an environmentally and resource-oriented way. The Master's program in Special Education is offered with two specializations.
Depending on the admission certificate, additional requirements have to be fulfilled according to the regulations of the EDK.
The purpose of the additional credits is that the students of special education acquire the educational and didactic knowledge related to the future professional field and gain insight into the school- and level-specific professional socialization and the activities of teachers with a view to multi-professional cooperation.
As a rule, the supplementary credits are taken for a total of 30 credit points as part of the study program offered in the kindergarten/lower school, primary school or lower secondary school degree program at the PH FHNW (all locations). The additional credits in the area of professional practical studies can only be completed in the study program Primary Level. Students with additional credits should assume a minimum study duration of 6 semesters.
Applicants whose native language is not German and who have not obtained their university entrance qualification at a general secondary school in a German-speaking country must provide proof of language competence level C2 according to the European Framework of Reference.
