About

Description

A further education in practice-oriented management. The changes in the field of higher education mean that a gap is increasingly opening up between training at the UAS level (training for research) and the training courses for completing the higher professional examinations, vocational examinations and master craftsman examinations. The Höhere Fachschule takes current and future developments into account and trains theoretically sound and practically oriented managers.

The goal of the further education to become a technician HF LMT is oriented towards the needs of the companies. The part-time organization enables an optimal exchange with the companies and ensures the practical relevance in the long term. The Higher Technical College of Food Technology offers professionals with a completed basic training in the profession of food technologist or a profession in the food industry a practice-oriented, versatile management training. It prepares students to take on demanding technical tasks and management functions.

The three-year part-time training offers excellent career opportunities:

  • Plant management / department management / production management for food manufacturing companies
  • Specialists and managers for the upstream and downstream sectors of the food industry
  • Specialists for consulting companies in the food sector
  • Specialists for administration, associations and organizations in the food sector

Graduates of the Higher Technical School of Food Technology are able to develop concepts for sustainable and successful business management and put them into practice after the three years of training.

Requirements

  • Those who have a federal certificate of proficiency (EFZ) as a food technologist as well as at least 2 years of professional experience after EFZ graduation are admitted without examination.
  • In the case of closely related professions (cook, baker-pastry chef, butcher, dairy technologist, miller), a federal certificate of proficiency (EFZ) and several years of professional experience in the food industry are required. In any case, admission is provisional and an admission interview will be held.
