Technicians HF Mechanical Engineering are primarily found in the machine, electrical machine and apparatus industry.
They develop products for the consumer goods industry and take on numerous specialist and management tasks in the field of mechanical engineering.
HF mechanical engineering technicians work on various tasks in the manufacturing process of machines and assemblies from planning and development to realization and production readiness. In design or development, they implement new technical findings in the conversion of customer requirements into industrially manufacturable products. In doing so, they use computer-based calculation, design and simulation tools. In addition to technical aspects, they also take into account business, ecological and safety aspects.
You have one of the following professional qualifications:
EFZ polymechanic (machine mechanic, toolmaker), EFZ automotive mechatronics technician (car mechanic), EFZ automation technician, EFZ plant and apparatus engineer, EFZ production mechanic, EFZ design engineer (machine draftsman), EFZ physics laboratory technician, EFZ plastics technologist, EFZ mold maker (technical model maker).
Anyone with a different vocational or tertiary qualification can be admitted following our "sur-dossier" admission procedure if they meet the admission criteria of the ZbW.
