The financial industry is undergoing significant change, particularly due to the low-interest environment. The added value of personal advice is becoming enormously important in these times.
In this CAS, you will learn about the entire spectrum of investment instruments for financial planning in order to be able to develop and implement an efficient, yet individual and risk-appropriate investment strategy for high net worth private clients as a problem-solving expert.
The CAS can be completed individually or as part of the MAS Financial Consulting.
Target audience
The course is aimed at
- Specialists and managers in advising private clients who want to acquire the knowledge and skills to be able to act as a problem-solving expert in the context of holistic consulting;
- Employees who would like to complete a comprehensive professional and methodological training in financial consulting as well as in income and asset structuring for private clients on a part-time basis;
- employees who want to expand their competence for their career as a specialist and/or manager, especially in the areas of sales and consulting, sales management, relationship management or even product management and business development;
- anyone who is interested in deepening their knowledge in the area of holistic consulting for wealthy clients.
Requirements
Admission to the MAS FC or to a CAS requires a university degree and relevant professional experience in the financial industry.
University degrees (Tertiary A - Higher Education Institutions) are considered to be:
- Degrees from a university UH or a technical university (diploma, licentiate, bachelor's degree or consecutive master's degree, doctorate)
- Degrees from a University of Applied Sciences FH or a University of Teacher Education PH (Bachelor or consecutive Master, FH-Diploma)
- Degrees from a predecessor school of today's universities of applied sciences (such as ZHW, HTL, HWV, etc.)
Interested parties who do not hold a university degree may be admitted "sur dossier" if the qualification for participation results from a "tertiary B" certificate from higher vocational education. The number of "sur dossier" study places is limited by a ZHAW-wide university regulation.
Degrees (Tertiary B - Higher Vocational Education) are considered to be:
- Completion of a professional examination BP (Federal Diploma of Higher Education) or a Higher Professional Examination HFP (Federal Diploma).
- Completion of a higher professional school HF (e.g. HFW, HFBF, HFV, etc.).
The following qualifications (by way of example, not exhaustive) are neither part of the higher vocational education nor of the higher education institutions and do not allow admission to the MAS FC or to a CAS, not even "sur dossier":
- Federal Vocational Certificate EBA, Federal Certificate of Proficiency EFZ
- Gymnasiale Matura, Berufsmatura, Fachmatura
- Postgraduate studies at a higher technical college (NDS HF)
- Certified financial advisor IAF
- etc.
The head of studies makes the final decision on the definitive admission to the MAS FC or to a CAS according to the rules and regulations of the university.
Admission to a CAS offering that is part of an MAS program does not simultaneously include admission to the corresponding MAS. Admission may be regulated differently for CAS and for MAS.
The detailed admission requirements for the MAS program and for CAS are regulated in the corresponding study regulations. Additional university-wide "sur dossier" rules apply.
