Start your career as a leader with the Bachelor in Business Administration: we prepare you for professional and management positions in a practice-oriented, interdisciplinary business degree program.

The study program:

• is aimed at people who are eager to learn and inquisitive and who think in a solution-oriented manner,
• requires that you are professionally suitable and bring motivation, interest in economic topics, versatility, healthy ambition and enthusiasm,
• enables you to study practical, interdisciplinary economics at a high-quality educational institution,
• provides you with optimal preparation for a professional and/or managerial career in industry, the service sector or administration.

The Bachelor's program in Business Administration is primarily aimed at holders of a qualified basic commercial education.

Directly admitted to the study program are holders of:

• a vocational baccalaureate with a certificate of proficiency (EFZ) in a profession related to the field of study or a vocational baccalaureate with 1 year of professional experience (full-time work) in a profession related to the field of study
• a baccalaureate plus 1 year of full-time work experience in a profession related to the field of study
• a specialized baccalaureate plus 1 year of full-time work experience in a profession related to the field of study
• a higher technical college degree with a certificate of proficiency (EFZ) in a profession related to the field of study or 1 year of full-time work experience in a profession related to the field of study
• an equivalent domestic or foreign degree plus 1 year of full-time work experience in an occupation related to the field of study.

Language skills

Good knowledge of German and English is required.

Most of the lessons are held in German. If you are not a native speaker of German, you must have the appropriate language competence at C1 level (e.g. Goethe Certificate C1).

However, the technical literature may also be in English. Parts of the lessons will also be conducted in English. Therefore, if in doubt, we recommend that you attend an intensive course in English before starting your studies.

Entry into a higher semester

Entry into a higher semester is possible

• for persons who are already studying or have studied at another university, in the same course of studies, and who wish to continue their studies at BFH (depending on the level of performance achieved so far)
• for persons with equivalent domestic or foreign degrees, or
• for graduates of a higher technical college:

Offer for holders of a federally recognized title from a higher technical college as dipl. business economist HF, dipl. banking economist HF or dipl. insurance economist HF.

Offer for holders of a federally recognized title of a higher technical college as dipl. Tourismusfachfrau HF / dipl. Tourismusfachmann HF or as dipl. Hôtelière-Restauratrice HF / dipl. Hôtelier-Restaurateur HF
