School requirements

Vocational baccalaureate, grammar school baccalaureate or HF degree in the wood sector

Professional prerequisites

One of the following professional prerequisites entitles the student to a Bachelor's degree in Wood Technology at the Bern University of Applied Sciences:

• Completed professional apprenticeship in the wood industry or in another related profession
• Completed professional apprenticeship in an unrelated occupation and a generally one-year internship in the wood industry in Switzerland or abroad completed prior to commencing studies. (see pre-study internship)
• High school diploma and an internship in the wood industry, usually of one year's duration, completed prior to commencement of studies (see pre-study internship).
• Education at a higher technical college in the field of wood

Foreign applicants

Admission of persons from abroad requires sufficient knowledge of the German language. Inquire at an early stage with the head of the study program about the procedure and the required documents.
