Inspired by the dual education system, this Master's degree program is highly focused on the acquisition of professional skills. It combines a high-quality theoretical education with a professional activity in a company. The student specializes in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and develops AI projects in the company. The project is supervised by researchers and experts in the field of artificial intelligence from the Idiap Research Institute, the national AI competence center.

The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence runs over 3 semesters (90 ECTS credits in total). It consists of 14 modules, 10 of which are foundation modules and 4 in-depth modules. You devote 60% of your time to your studies, which mainly take place online and give you a lot of organizational freedom. You spend 40% of your time in a company. In the first semester of the Master's program, you define a strategy and a project in artificial intelligence. In the last two semesters, you develop the project yourself.
