The Master's degree program provides an in-depth academic education in law, which is a prerequisite for many legal professions. Based on subject-specific legal sources and fundamental decisions and using modern teaching methods, you will acquire knowledge in advanced areas of law such as international law, legal philosophy, private international law, commercial criminal law, estate planning and social security law.
The Master of Law comprises 14 modules, 9 of which must be taken and passed (90 ECTS credits in total). It consists of the compulsory modules International Law and Criminal Procedure Law and elective modules with a wide range of topics (from criminology and European law to child and adult protection).
Prospects
A Master's in Law is the second part of a regular university education in law. With a Master's degree, you open the door to a traditional legal career as a lawyer, judge or notary. The Master's degree also qualifies you for a doctorate.
