The three-year training at the College of Law provides in-service knowledge in the most important areas of law and a holistic orientation competence - as a high-quality continuing legal education for people with a commercial background. Graduates understand legal thinking, learn a legal way of working and have a broad knowledge of civil law and criminal procedure law, commercial and business law, constitutional and administrative law and civil procedure law. With its practical character and many case studies, the course particularly promotes the ability to think methodically and in a networked manner, to analyze job-related tasks and to put the acquired knowledge into practice.

Legal specialists carry out qualified work with a legal connection in law firms, trust companies, insurance companies and banks, SMEs or in the field of public law. In this way, they relieve the workload of lawyers and solicitors and thus make a significant contribution to increasing the efficiency of a company. In small and medium-sized enterprises, they are responsible for covering a wide range of legal tasks and issues. In legal protection insurance companies, they are the first point of contact for legal information concerning, for example, road traffic, tenancy or labor law. In public administration, legal specialists can independently issue rulings and prepare objections and appeals for decision. Further fields of activity open up in the environment of investigative bodies such as the public prosecutor's office, the police or the examining magistrate's office.
