Driving innovation and developing new business areas are top priorities when it comes to opening up new growth options for companies. In the dynamic environment, successful companies are increasingly relying on agile innovation methods and new, disruptive business models. They are also seeking contact with the start-up scene in order to exploit the potential of promising start-ups through strategic partnerships.
In this EMBA you will deal with innovative forecasting methods to systematically identify innovation fields for your company. You will develop relevant product or service innovations using agile, benefit-oriented innovation methods. You develop new, disruptive business models to exploit new growth opportunities in the changed environment. You will gain insights into the Swiss start-up scene, corporate venture programs and financing models for new business projects. This will enable you to generate decisive impulses for growth options for your company. In addition, you will deal with the opportunities and challenges of globalization, digitalization and sustainability for successful growth strategies. Thus, you have the current strategic methods and the practice-oriented knowledge to define and implement a targeted, sustainable national or international business development strategy for your organization.
Admission criteria are a university degree or higher federal education degree and five years of professional practice, including at least two years of management experience. Sur-dossier admissions are possible in case of suitability. The head of studies decides on admission on the basis of the admission dossier and a personal admission interview.
The EMBA is aimed at students who already have in-depth management knowledge and have either previously completed the second level (MAS) or have the relevant knowledge and skills based on their previous education and/or wealth of experience. Direct entry at the EMBA level is thus possible. The Executive MBA in New Business Development is completed with a Master Thesis.
Final acceptance will be confirmed in writing by the university. The admission deadline is August 10 of the year in which the program begins. Early application is recommended.
