We teach you how to design networks and configure servers, devices and workstations. You will understand data transmission technologies, be able to monitor data traffic and ensure data security and network availability.

Contents

You will get to know the network protocols, network operating systems and network services such as web servers, e-mail servers etc. in depth. Topics such as network security, virtualization (cloud), wireless networks and others complete the training.

Goals

• As a graduate of the NDS Network Engineering you will design and plan networks or their extensions with different components. In a realization phase, you will work on the construction or manage smaller projects in the network area as a project manager.
• You will be responsible for the smooth operation of the ICT infrastructure in an SME. You troubleshoot communication and data networks and take measures to ensure high security, performance and availability of the networks.
• You migrate, configure and administer the operating systems and network services according to the changing needs in an SME. In doing so, you ensure the security of data against loss and protect it against unauthorized access.
• As a graduate of the NDS Network Engineering you have the basic knowledge to deal with new technologies independently. You advise your superiors on the evaluation and procurement of hardware and software components to modernize the ICT infrastructure.
