The new CAS Wind Music Direction enables wind music associations of various ages and skill levels to be professionally directed. Three different variants offer the opportunity to deepen and expand artistic or pedagogical competencies, depending on your interests and needs. The goal is, in addition to building or refining an accomplished conducting technique, to be able to organize rehearsals and project work in an innovative and profitable way. In addition to acquiring new skills and knowledge, new impulses also offer experienced conductors a fresh perspective on their own professional activities. Lecturers from the Lucerne School of Music as well as other international experts who are active in the field of wind band conducting will take care of your further education in different formats and in dialogue with participants and lead you to a successful completion of the program. Depending on your own profile and individual wishes, the continuing education program can be designed in three different variants with the following elements: The variety of topics ranges from the methodology of rehearsal work to repertoire studies and conducting issues. The workshops shed light on topics such as the beginners band, the leadership of youth wind orchestras, participation in youth camps or general aspects of association leadership, such as weekly rehearsal work, the organization of rehearsal weekends, competition preparations or board and music commission work. The courses focus on artistic, pedagogical and other topics.
