Every day, several thousand people work with commitment and expertise to ensure the high quality of public transport. In management positions, specialized expertise, broad knowledge of the industry and management skills are central to long-term success. This is precisely where the preparatory course for the "Dipl. Manager/in öffentlicher Verkehr" examination comes in: it combines the teaching of specialist knowledge with the training of methodological and management skills. The preparatory course is divided into 13 modules.
To be admitted to the higher professional examination, candidates must fulfill either a), b) or c): a) Federal certificate of proficiency in public transport and at least two years of professional experience in a management position in public transport b) Certificate of a professional examination, a higher professional examination, a higher technical college or a university of applied sciences and at least four years of professional experience in public transport, including two years in a management position c) Certificate of an upper secondary level qualification (e.g. apprenticeship or Matura) or equivalent certificate and at least six years of professional experience in public transport, including two years in a management position.c) Proof of an upper secondary level qualification (e.g. apprenticeship diploma or Matura) or equivalent and at least six years of professional experience in public transport, including two years in a management position Personnel management, financial management (responsibility for results), project management or operational management responsibility that go beyond purely administrative work are recognized as management experience.
