Bachelor of Arts PH Luzern in Pre-Primary and Primary Education

Direct admission

With the following degrees, you are directly admitted to the Kindergarten/Lower School program:

• gymnasiale Matura
• Vocational baccalaureate with Passerelle
• Specialized baccalaureate for the professional field of pedagogy
• Degree from a university of applied sciences or university (at least a Bachelor's degree)
• Teaching diploma (EDK-recognized)

Access via extended admission procedure

For persons who do not meet the requirements for direct admission, the PH Luzern offers an extended admission procedure with an entrance examination that corresponds to the level of the Fachmaturität Berufsfeld Pädagogik. You must meet the following requirements for admission to the entrance examination for the Kindergarten/Lower School program:

• Professional baccalaureate
• Professional baccalaureate for a professional field other than pedagogy
• three-year technical school, commercial school or diploma school
• three-year vocational apprenticeship with two years of professional experience

The preparatory course helps those interested to prepare optimally for the entrance examination level I. For persons who have completed a technical, commercial, business or diploma secondary school, attendance of the preparatory course is compulsory if they do not have at least two years of professional experience.

Admission "sur dossier

The PH Luzern offers the admission procedure "sur dossier" for the teacher training program for lateral entrants without a high school diploma. After passing a two-stage admission procedure, you will be admitted to study kindergarten/lower school, primary school or lower secondary school at the PH Luzern.
