Description
The right person in the right place - this is the challenge of vocational orientation in the upper school. Matching the young people's career aspirations and ideas with the range of apprenticeships on offer and their school competencies requires expert guidance from the teacher in career choice lessons. Alongside parents, teachers are important influencers on this path. That is why it is essential to accompany the young people on this path in a well-founded way as a career choice coach and to involve the involved actors such as parents, training companies, vocational schools and career counseling in a role-appropriate manner. Professional support is an important factor for the success of this transition. Further tasks of career choice coaches include the specific counseling of students with difficult prerequisites or unusual career aspirations.
