Graduates of the program address these questions and build up expertise in the areas of school development, organizational development, educational management, instructional development, evaluation and consulting.

International cooperation and orientation
The international orientation, transnational cooperation and the participation of persons from Switzerland, Germany and Austria make this degree program unique. The application orientation and the different professional biographies of the students create a rich exchange of experiences with a high practical relevance. The lecturers from the three countries contribute to a discussion rich in perspectives and offer insight into different educational cultures.
The course of study is completed on a part-time basis and usually lasts four semesters. It starts every two years in October. The courses take place on Fridays and Saturdays and in block weeks alternately at the locations of the cooperation partners. The language of instruction is German.
Training content
The course of studies faces the tension between a science-oriented and an application-oriented orientation. The contents of the individual courses are based on theoretical foundations and the state of empirical research, which enable a well-founded and differentiated classification and description of development problems and reform projects.
Graduates of the program are familiar with the relevant concepts and procedures for initiating, accompanying, supporting and evaluating development processes in schools. They have expertise in the areas of school, organizational and teaching development, personnel management, consulting, coaching and evaluations. In addition, the degree program provides basic action competence for professional handling in practice.
Methodically arranged in a variety of ways, problem-oriented learning tasks are worked on so that the practical experience of working students is continuously incorporated. Classroom teaching days alternate with self-study phases.
