Description
The study program Kindergartenstufe at PH Zurich is a three-year full-time program. A part-time study program Kindergartenstufe is not offered. However, the duration of study can be extended individually, so that opportunities arise to pursue other commitments to a limited extent alongside the studies. The program comprises 180 credits, ends with the degree "Bachelor of Arts PH Zurich in Pre-Primary Education" and leads to a teaching license for the kindergarten level, which enables the student to take over a kindergarten class in all Swiss cantons after graduation. The program is offered in Zurich in German.
Requirements
Direct admission to the program with the following educational credential:
- Completion of a three-year technical or diploma secondary school.
Admission to the entrance examination at the level of a specialized secondary school with the following educational certificates:
- Federal vocational baccalaureate
- Vocational apprenticeship and three years of work experience
- Diploma from a commercial or IT secondary school
Note: Prospective students with a specialized baccalaureate in pedagogy or a baccalaureate from a grammar school can enter the kindergarten and lower school program without having to take an examination. Registration for the kindergarten course is not recommended.
