Management assistants act as the interface between their supervisor, employees and customers. They contribute to a good working atmosphere through their service-oriented attitude and high level of social competence.
Candidates are admitted to the federal examination if they can prove that they hold one of the following qualifications and have the required professional experience
a) Swiss Federal Certificate of Proficiency as a commercial clerk, retail clerk, diploma from a commercial college, high school diploma or equivalent, combined with proof of at least 4 years of commercial work experience after acquiring the title.
b) a federal certificate of proficiency in a profession with an apprenticeship of at least three years, a vocational certificate as an office assistant or who holds an equivalent certificate, combined with proof of at least 5 years of commercial professional experience after acquiring the title
c) does not hold a certificate according to a) and b), but can prove at least 8 years of professional practice, of which at least 5 years must be commercial practice.
Note: The cut-off date for proof of professional practice is the date of the start of the examination.
d) OPET decides on the equivalence of foreign certificates.
Basic EDP knowledge (missing basic EDP knowledge can be worked up individually at the Benedict School).
