Marketing professionals play a key role in a rapidly changing economy in which companies face increasingly fierce competitive pressures. They know how to identify marketing instruments, define, coordinate and implement the conditions of a marketing concept. In a staff or line function, they plan and coordinate all marketing activities. As a close associate of the marketing manager, the sales manager or the executive assistant, they perform all tasks in the marketing area that serve to manage the company in line with market requirements.

The goal of preparing for the federal examinations for marketing specialists is in the foreground. Admission to this examination is governed by the examination regulations of the examining body of the Swiss Association of Marketing Specialists and admission must be fulfilled at the latest when registering for the federal examination of the examination year).
Admission to the federal examination (excerpt from the regulations)
According to Art. 3.3, admission to the federal examinations is granted to those who
a) provides proof of a federal certificate of proficiency with at least three years of basic vocational training or holds a diploma from a state-recognized commercial college, a diploma from a state-recognized diploma college of at least three years' duration or a Matura certificate (all profiles)
and
b) has at least two years of relevant professional experience.
Admission is also granted to those who
a) provides proof of a federal vocational certificate (EBA) in a profession with at least two years of basic vocational training
and
c) has at least three years of relevant professional experience.
d) The timely transfer of the examination fee according to section 3.4.1 remains reserved.
