Description

Through the preparatory course to become a logistics specialist, participants should acquire practical and theoretical knowledge and skills (superordinate in the areas of procurement, production, warehousing, distribution and reverse logistics) in order to meet the requirements for a position as a logistics specialist and to be able to fulfill and apply for the examination admission to become a logistics specialist with a federal certificate of proficiency.

Requirements

As a prerequisite for admission, you must have

  • a technical, business or commercial basic training from the logistic company areas procurement/purchasing, production, warehouse, distribution, waste disposal
  • or
  • a technical or commercial apprenticeship with additional commercial training
  • or
  • several years of practical experience in one of the company's logistics divisions

and has the required SSC basic module qualifications in the form of the SSC certificate, or copies of the corresponding confirmations of equivalence.

For admission to the federally recognized professional examination to become a logistics specialist with a federal certificate, you must have one of the following certificates at the time of taking the examination:

  • Completed vocational training
  • High school diploma
  • Professional examination (federal certificate)
  • Equivalent certificate (application)

and

Practical experience

More than 3 years of professional experience in a logistics area (procurement, production, warehousing, distribution, disposal/recycling), after completion of the above-mentioned training period. Training period.

In the absence of a vocational qualification or other training, relevant work experience of at least 6 years in one of the above-mentioned logistics areas is required.

In any case, the examination board of SGL GS1, which is also responsible for conducting the examination, decides on the admission to the federal examination.
