The professional examination for Human Resources HR specialists is based on the recognized professional profiles from HRM practice in the Swiss economy. Candidates have a choice of three professional options to deepen their knowledge, depending on their practical qualifications.
For prospective or already relevant professionals in the private sector and public administration who wish to acquire the knowledge of operational human resource management or personnel placement, consulting or hiring and make an important contribution to the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the company or an institution, taking into account a careful management of resources.

Admission to the professional examination (federal certificate) is granted to those who have the following previous education and professional experience at the time of registration:
1. for all specializations
a) a Swiss Federal Certificate of Proficiency (EFZ), a baccalaureate from a grammar school, a specialized baccalaureate, a certificate from a specialized secondary school or an equivalent qualification
and
b) proof of having passed the Personnel Assistant Certificate Examination
and additionally proof of
2. for specialization A:
c) 4 years of professional experience after having passed the EFZ or equivalent qualification according to a), of which at least 2 years of HR experience (according to the job description of specialization A).
2. for specialization B:
c) 4 years of professional experience following completion of the EFZ or equivalent qualification in accordance with point a), including at least 2 years of AVIG enforcement practice (in accordance with the job description for specialization B).
2. for specialization C:
c) 4 years of professional experience following completion of the EFZ or equivalent qualification in accordance with point a), of which at least 2 years must be HR experience (in accordance with the job description for specialization A, B or C), of which at least 1 year must be in private recruitment and leasing (in accordance with job description C).
The SERI (State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation) decides on the equivalence of foreign qualifications.
