Master gardeners are responsible for a department or the entire company as executives or self-employed persons. They are also specialists in either construction management or production management. In order for their company to be successful, master gardeners take care of the procurement of new orders and sales opportunities. In this context, they attach great importance to maintaining customer relations, corporate strategy and marketing. They analyze the market, design the product range, set prices and implement sales promotion measures. Master gardeners supervise and monitor accounting. They evaluate the accounts, prepare budgets, quotations and statements of account, which also include payroll and insurance statements. They determine the costs of operational services and supplies. They coordinate the deployment of personnel, plant equipment and machinery, as well as the transport associated with orders, to ensure that the wide range of work is carried out efficiently. Master gardeners delegate many tasks to their employees, whom they instruct. As managers, they are also responsible for the training of apprentices and the promotion of employees as well as their occupational health and safety. Master gardeners specializing in construction management plan and manage all processes on a construction site. They deal with the construction of new and the maintenance or modification of existing gardens and green spaces of all kinds, e.g. playgrounds and sports facilities or natural gardens. They determine individual customer requirements and implement them in a professional and aesthetically designed manner. Construction site organization also includes administrative work such as calculating material and time requirements, drawing up contracts, and recording and billing for services.
