Job description
The economy needs specialists in leading positions, who on the one hand have a technical, craft or industrial basic education and on the other hand have commercial and business management knowledge. Training as a technical business management assistant offers the opportunity to combine technical and business management content, to move into other areas of the company and to take up leading positions. The field of application includes purchasing, organization, marketing, technical consulting and processing as well as customer service. The Swiss Association of Technical Managers Anavant is the sponsor of the professional examination "Technischer Kaufmann/Technischer Kauffrau mit eidgenössischem Fachausweis" and conducts it on behalf of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation SERI.
Admission to training at WBZ Canton Lucerne and to the federal vocational examination is granted to those who:
Proof of practice must be provided in the form of legally signed work confirmations from all employers describing the activity. The apprenticeship period is not recognized as practice. The practical activity can therefore only be counted from the completion of the basic training. Based on the classification of professions by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation SERI, professional activity in groups B (industrial and craft professions) and C (technical professions) in particular is recognized as practice. Isolated professions from other groups are also admitted.
The required practice must be fulfilled by August 31 of the corresponding examination year. In case of doubt, candidates must have their admission assessed in advance by the Examination Commission. They must also be prepared to actively participate in the lessons, to regularly spend the time required for self-study and homework, as well as to prepare and follow up the lessons (ratio of lessons to preparation and follow-up approximately 1:1).
